Upside down orange cake

  • 3 eggs
  • 250 grs granulated sugar
  • 250 grs flour
  • 150 ml orange juice
  • 1 sp baking powder
  • brown sugar
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 grapefruit sliced

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Beat the eggs whole with sugar. They should be well beaten and the sugar fully dissolved. Then the orange juice. Stir very well.

Pass the flour through a sieve directly into the dough. Incorporate flour in a circular motion. After being well wrapped add the baking powder. Grease a cake pan that has the removable bottom and line it with parchment paper; back smear very well. Sprinkle with brown sugar.

Distribute the orange and grapefruit slices through the bottom of the shape. Distribute the cake batter on top. Bake for 30 minutes until golden. Check the cooking by sticking a toothpick. Remove from the oven and wait 15 minutes until removing from pan.

Place in the serving dish; carefully remove the paper. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
